Once again this year, IAABO Board 11 is participating in the Officials Versus Cancer Event.  This is a joint effort between IAABO, the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), and the American Cancer Society during the "Coaches Versus Cancer" crusade.  From Jan. 23 through the end of February, Board 11 officials will use pink whistles for games with female competitors and white whistles for games with male competitors.  Many officials will continue to make donations to the American Cancer Society and the Board will hold some fundraisers as well.

If you are an athletic director or coach and know that your school or team will be participating in a cancer awareness event, we would like to know.  If you do not have one currently planned but would like to organize such an event, we would be happy to help in whatever way possible.  Board 11 is proud to support any such efforts.  As soon as we receive information from schools, it will be posted on this page.  If you have any questions about Board 11's involvement in the Officials Versus Cancer Event, please contact Britta Bimbi or Kelly Callahan.
